What is a flower box, exactly?

A flower box is an arrangement built directly into a decorative box rather than wrapped as a hand-tied bouquet. The stems sit in a hidden reservoir of floral foam or a concealed water source, so the blooms stay hydrated and hold their shape without any effort from the recipient. The result is a neat, sculptural dome of flowers framed by the rim of the box — luxurious, self-contained and beautifully photogenic. The round hat box, borrowed from the world of Parisian millinery, is the most iconic version, though we also create elegant square and rectangular boxes for a more contemporary look.

The hat box, our signature style

Our signature hat box arrangements are designed to feel generous and considered in equal measure. We favour a closely packed, single-focus style — a dome of velvety roses in a single rich shade, perhaps, or a soft blend of blush and cream with a whisper of foliage at the edges. Because the box does the framing, the flowers themselves can be kept simple and abundant, which is what gives a hat box its quietly expensive look. Finished with our signature ribbon and, on request, a hand-written card, it is a gift that feels every bit as special to give as it is to receive.

Built to last in Bali’s climate

A flower box is not only beautiful, it is practical in the tropics. Because the stems sit in a hidden water source, the blooms stay hydrated in Bali’s warmth without the recipient needing to do a thing, and the box shields the lower stems from the heat. We choose varieties that cope well with the island climate and finish each box in our air-conditioned Canggu studio just before delivery. A deep red hat box is pure romance for an anniversary, while a bright, mixed box makes a joyful birthday gift that needs no unwrapping. Our flower boxes range from IDR 450,000 for a petite hat box up to IDR 1,500,000 and beyond for a large, statement design overflowing with premium blooms. Because the arrangement is built into the box, much of the craft lies in the composition, and even a smaller box feels full and considered. Every box is designed and assembled by hand in our Canggu studio and finished with our signature ribbon. Delivery is free within 10km of the studio, and orders placed before 2pm can arrive the same day right across the island.
